Five top players who could possibly join Kaizer chiefs next month

So much has been said about the possible transfer targets of Kaizer Chiefs, with the ban ending at the end of the month. It is expected that Amakhosi will spend a lot while refreshing the team.

Many players in their current team seem at the end of their journey at Naturena and should take the team forward.

A new coach, Stuart Baxter, has come in. He will lead the changes as he builds a side that can bring Amakhosi back to the top. Here are five positions critical for the team and the potential players to fill them.

Goalkeeping

Towards last season Amakhosi has proved to be a disaster, with both Itumeleng Khune and Daniel Akpeyi proving to be prone to errors. There is also talk of Khune leaving soon. If this happens, they’ll need another strong goalkeeper to bring Bruce Bvuma and Akpeyi into competition.

Possible candidate for Kaizer Chiefs:

Ismael Watenga of Chippa United.

Back Center

Over the years, Daniel Cardoso and Erick Mathoho have failed to establish a strong and strong relationship. None of them took the leading role behind that leads to misunderstandings. To take over and lead the defense, an experienced and confident defender is needed in the building of Tefu Mashamaite.

Possible candidate Kaizer Chiefs:

Buhle Mkhwanazi, a free agent

Return to the left

Philani Zulu was doing the job there, but with short passes he doesn’t give this extra edge and is good. The left back needs to be varied and send good crosses, just like Reeve Frosler does to the right for Samir Nurkovic and Leonardo Castro.

Possible candidate of Kaizer Chiefs:

Sifiso Hlanti of Swallows

Central center of the field

Amakhosi has the young Njabulo Blom and Daniel Matsheke who are very promising in the same position, as Kaizer Chief veteran midfielder Willard Katsande slow down and may be facing an exit. But at such a young age they cannot be overloaded and need at least two years before they can take full control. They will bring pressure to somebody with some experience and a name.

Possible candidate for Kaizer Chiefs:

Bongani Zungu possible on Amiens loan.

Lebogang Manyama played there under Gavin Hunt, and never always shone, although he bounced back after Hunt left Chiefs in his final game of the season to bag a hat trick. Manyama’s a wider striker than a 10. Bernard Parker’s role was better, but now he’s also a bit slow. The only player they currently have is Nkosingiphile Ngcobo. But he’s still young and not audacious enough to boss the attack.

Candidate for possible Kaizer leaders:

Keagan Dolly, free agent of Cape Town or Thabo Nodada.
