As reported by Briefly News, DJ Speedsta denied yanking Shamiso aside at the awards. He said he was being cautious because she works for YFM and he works for 5FM, Metro FM’s sister station. He suggested one round of photos, but photographers asked for individual shots. He refused, citing a possible conflict of interest between the stations.

DJ Speedsta’s video explanation of the controversy with his girlfriend hasn’t convinced everyone. Some viewers are still giving him the side-eye. Others criticised the pet name he used for Shamiso, referring to her as his “chick”.

The Metro FM Awards moment continues to spark debate online. While DJ Speedsta maintains it was a misunderstanding, fans remain divided over both his explanation and his choice of words. Whether this blows over or fuels more headlines, the couple is clearly under the spotlight.
