The Cape Town drag queens are back. The lashes are longer, the tension thicker, and the shade cuts deeper.

The second season of Beaulah: Queens van die Kaap airs on DStv streaming on May 12, bringing viewers back into the glitter-soaked chaos of Cape Town’s drag world, where drama never stays backstage for long and loyalty shifts by the minute.

After an intense first season filled with emotional confrontations, fractured friendships, and damaged egos, season 2 promises to reveal even more rifts in the sisterhood as new alliances form and old tensions resurface.

Beneath the wigs, sequins, and perfectly painted faces lies something deeper.

The show is produced by Pop24, the team behind reality shows like The Mommy Club and the SAFTA-nominated series Tollie & Manila, which offers viewers an unfiltered look into the lives behind the performances.

From the pageant pressures to the personal struggles and identity journeys, the queens are letting the viewers into the parts that usually stay hidden behind the glam and the spotlight.

The new season highlights trans visibility through cast members like Madison Scarr and Maxine Wild, who say the platform has helped them tell their stories unapologetically.

Reality TV audiences crave authenticity and entertainment. Beauluh: Queens van die Kaap is coming back with both. If the trailer is anything to go by, no one is leaving this season untouched.
