Social media users in Mzansi are incensed after Zimbabwean lula lula workers took over a street in South Africa.
The lula lula workers operate from Jelico Street in Kempton Park, Johannesburg.
Zimbabwean Lula Lula Workers Take Over South Africa
Pictures trending on social media show a bevy of thick women dressed in “work” gear. Some of them had skimpy skirts which exposed their thunder thighs while others had tight leggings that left little to imagination.
The women were standing, leaning on perimeter walls and waiting for passing by customers. They stood close together in their numbers, hoping that potential clients would pick either of them.
A South African anti-immigrant activist passed through and spoke to some of them, discovering that most of them speak Shona.
South Africans on social media expressed mixed feelings as Zimbabwean lula lula workers took over a street in South Africa.
Rutendo:
“Who is buying them? South Africans, right? So they are offering a service being demanded by South Africans, so where is the problem?”
Zen:
“Please sanitize (clean up) when you leave that space. It also mean that the equipment that would have been used should be left behind too. There are too many transnational diseases in this trade.”
Thabo:
“After that you should go to number 3 central avenue, number 33 pretoria road and number 30 pretoria road. At number 30 Pretoria road you will find underage shona speaking girls. 💔💔”
Mathe:
“That place is my road from Pomona going to macdonald’s Kempton park.the road is called Kempton road.most ladies at tht lodge premises just by their body type and completion you can easily tell tht they are not zimbabwean.your narrative is nonsense.”
Amani:
“How dare they take South African jobs!!!This is not a scarce or critical skill, SA has its own skilled citizens, who are now forced to compete, yet they are in their country.”
Tsanwi:
“And if we are to check Stats majority sex workers would be illegal foreigners.”
