Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has discussed his players performance against Mamelodi Sundowns after he was asked about the absence of Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo from his starting XI.
Ndlondlo, 27, has been a permanent figure in Riveiro’s line-ups since joining the Buccaneers on Deadline Day.
However, on Friday Ndlondlo was not part of the team, as Sundowns collected a 2-0 win that saw them drop 12 points behind the log leaders.
Riveiro, though, was not prepared to go into detail about his team selection and insisted he was happy with the team that he selected for the match.
“I’m so happy with the players that I have available to play, we have more than enough,” he said after the match.
“Today was the time to play for the ones who did in the first starting XI and the ones who came from the bench.
“I’ll think about the ones who didn’t play from tomorrow because we have to face Cape Town very soon and there is going to be again a competition who is going to be in the starting XI, so lets see who is playing next time.
“But the ones who did it today did a fantastic job, obviously we couldn’t get the result we were looking for but we cannot only analyse a result from our side.”
Pirates return to action on 7 January when they will face Cape Town City away from home.
