The vibrant pulse of South African street culture is hitting the road in a major way as The Kasi Tour officially kicks off its nationwide journey.

Spanning five cities across five weeks from October 19 to November 23, 2026, the movement celebrates the rich intersection of music, fashion, dance, and community that defines township culture.

Following a series of successful pop-ups, including the acclaimed City Outfitters collaboration with DJ, artist, and creative Doowap, the tour is bringing an immersive lifestyle experience directly to the heart of the community, with the Vaal officially up first.

Setting up shop in the Vaal: The ultimate kasi experience

The tour’s inaugural groove touches down in the Vaal on Saturday, 24 October 2026, taking over the BK Lifestyle Cafe from 18:00 straight through to 02:00. Blending high-energy music with retail and youth culture, the event boasts a stellar artist lineup designed to shut down the venue.

Headlined by Hemustbefabulous, the Vaal leg features stellar performances and sets from Doowap, Masedi, Wayfly, Espiquet, Speedy, Zulu Tariana, Stress Wase Vaal, Bino Boy, Shenge Milano, and Yugan.

Beyond the music, attendees can expect an action-packed cultural showcase featuring exclusive fashion drops, live hair transformations, brand collaborations, and the limited-edition Alaska x Rossimoda capsule collection.

Dance enthusiasts will also get a chance to shine and compete, with R10,000 in prizes up for grabs in the high-stakes Pantsula vs Skhothane Dance Competition.

A nationwide celebration of township identity

The Kasi Tour isn’t just a series of parties; it is a movement honouring the authentic expression of South African youth culture. Following its grand opening in the Vaal, the five-week tour will travel across Mahikeng, Durban, Gqeberha, and finally wrap up in Cape Town.

By merging community engagement, retail pop-ups featuring partners like Dickies, Skipper Bar, and Inecto, and electrifying live performances, The Kasi Tour continues to champion the creatives, dancers, and musicians who keep township culture alive and thriving.

Fans looking to catch the first groove can RSVP for entry via the official Kasi Tour platforms and digital links.
