Amapiano star Lady Du has announced that bookings at her beauty salon are officially open again, marking what she describes as a fresh start after months of personal challenges.
The singer shared a photo of herself standing inside the salon, revealing that she is ready to get back to business after focusing on personal projects and her healing journey.
“Bookings are officially opened from this weekend, all my personal projects are done 😍😍😍 Time to work again ❤️,” she wrote.
In a deeply candid message, Lady Du reflected on the emotional toll of losing her father, explaining that the grief forced her to reassess both her personal life and financial stability.
“I’ve been sooo scared to lose everything I worked hard for. When I lost my dad I had the toughest 3 months, I realised that I can’t take breaks because my bills won’t pay themselves,” she shared.
The singer revealed that during that difficult period, she decided to invest her savings into a business outside of music and live performances to create additional streams of income.
She later stepped back again to prioritise her mental health.
“Took a break again to also work on my mental health my father’s death traumatised me. Broke me to the core. His death almost killed me. But God said it wasn’t time,” she wrote.
Lady Du explained that she intentionally withdrew from the public eye for at least two months to focus on healing.
“I focused on bettering myself, trying to heal by just being away from everyone and everything for atleast 2 months. I thank God I did that.”
Now, she says she feels lighter and more at peace. “My spirit and heart are at ease. I can now laugh again. ❤️❤️❤️ Not fully healed but a work in progress.”
