Minnie Dlamini and friends wrap up their fabulous Galentine’s getaway

Minnie Dlamini and her friends have concluded their Galentine’s Day trip to Cape Town, where the besties let their hair down and enjoyed each other’s company in true sisterhood style.

WHAT IS GALENTINE’S DAY?

It all started with a character named Leslie Knope, from the TV series Parks and Recreation, which aired in 2010. In episode 16, season two, she hosted her women friends on 13 February.

This holiday was intended to highlight the significance of celebrating and honouring women friendships. In reality, this concept has been adapted many times throughout the years, as it offers a nuanced alternative to Valentine’s Day, which traditionally focuses on romantic love only.

GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN

Media personality Minnie Dlamini, who’s known for standing up for herself, shared her Galentine’s wrap-up reel on Instagram.

It’s evident that Minnie and her friends, namely Naledi Radebe, Pearl Nxele, Busisiwe Nkuna, and Lebo “Jojo” Mokoena, had tons of fun and unashamedly indulged in an array of food available.

This included mouth-watering finger foods, chocolate desserts, and of course, an overflow of wine; they were in Cape Town after all.

Minnie Dlamini was excited that the planning of this trip finally took off. She posted the following caption on her Instagram:

“Galentine’s weekend made it out of the group.”

Although the gorgeous ladies didn’t have any romantic plans for Valentine’s Day over the weekend, that didn’t stop them from showing love and appreciation to each other through a Galentine’s get-together.
