Marise Pollard, the wife of Springboks fly-half Handre Pollard, shared that their baby girl had her first belly laugh, via an Instagram post on Monday 16 February.

HANDRE AND MARISE POLLARD’S DAUGHTER HAS FIRST BELLY LAUGH

Proud mom Marise Pollard took to Instagram to share an adorable video of her daughter, Isabella Tanya Pollard, having her first belly laugh. Handre and Marise welcomed Isabella in October 2025. In the video, Marise is carrying Isabella as she watches their dog, and her brother Hunter playing. Take a look…

“I’m not okey 😭 Isabella’s first belly laugh,” she wrote.

This comes after Marise shared a look inside Isabella’s baptism.

TWO UNDER TWO

Handre and Marise are parents of two under two. In April 2024, the pair welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Hunter Andre Pollard. The pair connected through Facebook back in 2012. A few years later, Handre and Marise tied the knot at Cavalli Estate in the Cape Winelands in 2017 and have been happily married since!

Handre and Marise lived in the UK since 2022 as the rugby star joined Leicester Tigers. However, in 2025, the couple moved back to South Africa as Handre signed a contract with Pretoria-based rugby team The Bulls for two years.

The couple aren’t the only Springboks who had babies in 2024 and 2025.

Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth and his wife and Anlia welcomed their first baby in January 2024. In October 2025, they welcomed their second baby.

Faf de Klerk and his wife Mine welcomed their first child in February 2025, a baby girl named Remi-Re. The pair welcomed their second child in November 2025, also a baby girl named Yuke.

Springbok Edwill van der Merwe and his wife, Nadine welcomed their first child in November 2025.
