Relebohile Mofokeng steals the show at 2025/26 PSL Awards
Relebohile Mofokeng was the biggest winner at the 2025/26 PSL Awards held on Monday night after walking away with three of the biggest individual honours.
The 21-year-old, who has since secured a move abroad after starring for Orlando Pirates, was crowned PSL Footballer of the Season following an outstanding campaign. Mofokeng also collected the Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season and Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season awards, completing a memorable evening.
League champions Orlando Pirates dominated the Betway Premiership awards. Head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou was named Coach of the Season, while Sipho Chaine won Goalkeeper of the Season, Lebone Seema claimed Defender of the Season, Oswin Appollis was named Midfielder of the Season, and Camren Dansin scooped the Goal of the Season award.
Retired goalkeeper Darren Keet received the Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament award after helping Durban City lift the trophy, while Seluleko Mahlambi of TS Galaxy won the Most Promising Player accolade.
Former Orlando Pirates defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi won the Carling Knockout Player of the Tournament, with teammate Tshepang Moremi named the MTN8 Last Man Standing.
Cape Town City dominated the Motsepe Foundation Championship awards through Emile Witbooi, Gabriel Armato, and Mickey van der Hart, while Mamelodi Sundowns youngster Bennet Mokoena swept both DStv Diski Challenge Player of the Season and Top Goal Scorer awards.
Referees Eugene Mdluli and Nandipha Menze were recognised as Referee of the Season and Assistant Referee of the Season, respectively.
