The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle is reportedly the “breadwinner” in her home and money is reportedly tight.

MEGHAN MARKLE ‘BREADWINNER’ AT HOME

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle is reportedly focusing on growing her lifestyle brand As Ever. This comes after she parted ways with partner Netflix. Sources have reportedly told Page Six, that Prince Harry is focused on his philanthropic work, which doesn’t bring in much money.

“Money is tight,” said a source to the publication.

Another source tells the publication that Meghan and Prince Harry need at least $6 million (R97 549 740) a year for operating expenses in the billionaire enclave of Montecito, California. The couple reportedly spend around $3 million (R48 774 870) of that on private security for their family, which was previously revealed.

Prince Harry and Meghan are parents to four-year-old Princess Lilibet and seven-year-old Prince Archie. The Duke of Sussex and Meghan quit their roles as senior working members of the royal family in 2020 and moved to the US to start a new life with their two kids.

PRINCE HARRY INHERITANCE REVELATION

Prince Harry and Meghan are also reportedly “unhappy” after “eating through” most of Harry’s inheritance of $20 million (R325 165 800) inheritance. Royal expert, Dan Wakeford claimed that Prince Harry’s inheritance, left to him by Princess Diana and the Queen Mother is “running dry”, according to Sky News.

“Meghan has a sense of how careful they need to be …. Harry – raised in a world where everything was provided – reportedly lacks basic awareness of what things cost,” wrote Wakeford in his Celebrity Intelligence newsletter.

Wakeford further claimed that some of the Sussexes’ major deals – such as their Netflix and Spotify contracts – were worth far less than what was made public at the time.

“The inheritance has largely been spent on the house and the legal trials,” said an insider according to Sky News, leaving the couple “wildly unhappy”.
