There are few voices in the South African music scene as unmistakable — or as emotionally resonant — as Shekhinah. The songstress shared that she would soon be releasing her first-ever EP on 5 June 2026.

From her early days performing in musicals to becoming a platinum-selling artist with an ever-evolving sound, Shekhinah has spent the past few years dominating the South African charts, carefully crafting her own lane.

Since her debut album Rosegold in 2017, she has been a force in the industry, a skilled topliner, a distinctly soulful voice, and a pop powerhouse with albums that have made cultural moments and continue to inspire a generation of new artists.

With certified platinum albums lauded by critics and winning multiple South African Music Awards, Shekhinah is ready to grace the South African space with her new EP, Love on Repeat. This marks Shekhinah’s first-ever EP, with four tracks filled with nothing but smooth sounds.

Shekhinah said, “The EP is just coming from a less pressured place, making music for fun. It was not necessarily an album project or a single that had any expectations. It was just something that was really just true and fun.”

For an artist who has spent her career building some of the most meticulous pop architecture in the South African canon, admitting to lightness is its own kind of courage.

Her new single, Say You Love Me, dropped on 29 May 2026 and is a warm, retro-tinted house cut co-written in an unguarded room with Brandon Dhludhlu.
