Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has given an injury update ahead of Wednesday’s match against TS Galaxy, saying Itumeleng Khune could return.
Amakhosi enter the match after their defeat against Chippa United, which ended their three-match winning run.
Zwane said that Zitha Kwinika will return to the squad, while Siyabonga Ngezana is ruled out, but didn’t mention striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, who suffered a thigh injury that will rule him out for a few week, according to SABC Sport.
“We welcome Zitha (Kwinika) back, because Siya (Ngezana) is not available for selection. We played Khama Billiat last week and seems ready to give us more minutes,” Zwane told the club’s media department.
“We have some players who have played a lot of games and we may look at resting some them ahead of the weekend’s cup semi-final. We need all our soldiers available for that one.”

Meanwhile, Zwane had some positive news in the goalkeeping department, with Khune seemingly fit to play after picking up an injury in the 3-1 win over Stellenbosch.
“Itu (Khune) is doing well at training,” he added.
“He looks okay at the moment; we are just hoping he is not going to experience the same problem again when we play him.
“Other than that, we have a clean bill of health. Everyone is available for selection.”
Chiefs could overtake Orlando Pirates again on the log after the Buccaneers moved ahead of their Soweto rivals following their 2-0 win against Golden Arrows on Tuesday.
