Zandile Gumede back in court
Zandile Gumede, former eThekwini mayor, is in the High Court in Durban again, to defend herself against a barrage of corruption charges.
Gumede and some municipal officials, ward councilors, business people and their companies are charged with racketeering, fraud and corruption.
Gumede is accused of running a criminal enterprise with 21 other suspects in this case, including former eThekwini employees and business owners. They face +2000 criminal charges they accused of fraud amounting to approximately R400 million.
