AmaZulu grabbed a late winner against Baroka in a 1-0 victory, while there were good 2-0 wins for Royal AM – at home against Marumo Gallants- and for Stellenbosch, who beat Golden Arrows away in DStv Premiership matches this evening.

Baroka 0-1 AmaZulu

It was a goalless first half at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, as bottom-of-the-table Baroka took on AmaZulu, with Brandon Truter on the bench for the first time.

But just when Baroka thought they would get a point at home, Luvoyo Memela grabbed a winner in stoppage time to give Truter a winning start, and add to Bakgaka’s woes.

AmaZulu move up to seventh, while Baroka remain bottom with six games remaining in the season.

Golden Arrows 0-2 Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch scored twice in the second half to pick up their first win of 2022, as they beat Arrows 2-0 at the Princess Magogo Stadium.

In Durban it was also goalless in the opening 45 minutes between Arrows and Stellenbosch.

Going into the game two points separated sixth-placed Stellies and seventh-placed Arrows, so there was a lot at stake in the game.

It was the visitors who finally broke the deadlock when ten minutes into the second half Antonio Van Wyk set up Jayden Adams, and the midfielder’s shot beat Nkosi Gumede to make it 1-0.

And the result was sealed with five minutes to go, as Ashley Du Preez made it 2-0 to Steve Barker’s team.

Royal AM 2-0 Marumo Gallants

Second-placed Royal AM moved to 43 points as they beat Gallants 2-0 at the Chatsworth Stadium.

Royal AM were in the lead on the half-hour mark as Victor Letsoalo scored from the penalty spot. Letsoao’s 14th goal of the season gave John Maduka’s team a 1-0 lead at the break.

It was 2-0 in the 55th minute, with Samuel Manganyi heading in a ball from Ndumiso Mabena.

Royal AM move within eight points of Sundowns, who are still to play Swallows this evening.
