In a heart-wrenching turn of events, popular musician Shebeshxt’s daughter tragically passed away in a fatal accident on the R37 road near the Smelters Mine in Limpopo on Saturday night.

The incident has cast a shadow over the planned ANC Siyanyqoba Rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo.

The nine-year-old girl was travelling with Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke, as he was on his way to perform at the event.

The collision occurred when their Volkswagen Polo collided with a truck and overturned. According to Tidimalo Chuene, spokesperson for the Transport Department in Limpopo, the accident took place shortly after 10 PM. The other unidentified passenger in the car sustained moderate-to-light injuries.

Chuene confirmed that the young girl likely passed away at the scene. Shebeshxt was treated for serious injuries on-site before being transported to a hospital. Videos shared on social media show the musician lying on the ground, being treated by medical practitioners, and expressing his agony.

Shebeshxt was involved in another critical car accident and might have lost his leg on the spot.

The ANC Siyanyqoba Rally celebration concert, scheduled for Sunday at Zone R Park in Lebowakgomo, will feature performances by artists such as King Monada and Prince Benza. The community has been deeply affected by the tragedy and is in mourning.

This incident marks the second serious car accident Shebeshxt has been involved in this year. In January, he managed to escape unscathed from an accident that left his new Golf GTI beyond repair. The police are currently investigating the cause of the latest crash.
