A tragic accident occurred this Saturday afternoon on the R102 in Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal. A two-year-old child and an adult male sustained injuries following the overturn of the vehicle they were travelling in. The incident has raised concerns about road safety in the region.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were promptly dispatched to the scene after receiving urgent requests for assistance from passing motorists.

Upon their arrival, reaction officers discovered a blue VW Jetta lying on its roof, signalling a severe accident. The swift response from RUSA played a crucial role in ensuring that the injured were attended to promptly.

According to the driver of the overturned vehicle, he was travelling to Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal, with his two children, one of whom is just two years old.
