Two injured after taxi swerves for cow

KwaZulu-Natal: At 16H37 Thursday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on Inanda Road in Crestholme, Durban West Region.

Reports indicate that the driver of a mini-bus taxi lost control after he swerved to avoid a cow in the road.

The taxi subsequently rolled, ejecting the driver in the process.

On scene was START, SAPS and the Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services.

When medics arrived on scene they found the driver trapped by his lower limbs underneath the taxi.

Hydraulic tools were used to lift the vehicle off the driver.

Both patients had sustained moderate to serious injuries and were treated on scene by advanced life support paramedics.

Once stabilised, both patients were transported to hospital for further care.
