Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz has made two changes to the team that drew 2-2 against Richards Bay FC.

Thabiso Monyane and Luke Baartman have been replaced by Dillan Solomons and Wandile Duba.

KAIZER CHIEFS VS SIWELELE FC IN THE BETWAY PREMIERSHP

Kaizer Chiefs starting line up: Petersen, Solomons, Kwinika, Miguel, Moloisane, Maboe, Ndlovu, Shabalala, Mmodi, Vilakazi, Duba.

Substitutes: Leaner, Frosler, Cross, Mthethwa, Mtasingwa, Chislett, Ighodaro, Baartman, Abrahams.

Siwelele starting line up: Xulu, Mfolozi, Sesane, Ndebele, Baliti, Mokhuoane, Kobedi, Pule, Thulo, Jeza, Hamzah.

Substitutes: February, Benjamin, Khoyane, Ngcobo, Rasebotja, Mazibuko, Mokhachane, Potsane, Nguessan.

Kaizer Chiefs have made an encouraging unbeaten start. They have collected eight points from their opening four league matches.

But consecutive draws have slowed them down. The Glamour Boys now need three points. Especially with the teams above them beginning to pull away.

Siwelele arrive in Soweto with just two points from four matches. They currently sit 14th on the Betway Premiership table.

Under coach Lehlohonolo Seema, the Bloemfontein outfit are still searching for their first victory. They have drawn against TS Galaxy and Chippa United. Those results were followed by defeats to Milford FC and AmaZulu FC.

Their numbers tell the story. Siwelele have scored just three goals and conceded six. Both ends of the pitch remain a concern.

RECENT MEETINGS

However, their recent history against Kaizer Chiefs should provide some confidence. The first league meeting between the sides in October 2025 ended 0-0 at FNB Stadium.

The second meeting was very different. On 29 April 2026, Siwelele stunned Kaizer Chiefs with a 2-0 victory at Free State Stadium.

Tebogo Potsane struck after just seven minutes. Sphesihle Jeza then doubled the advantage in the 26th minute. Amakhosi never recovered. The result ended the Amakhosi’s impressive unbeaten league run.
