Johnny Ferreira is set to be the new head coach of Tshakhuma in the GladAfrica Championship, replacing Lucky Nelukau, who will however remain with the club.
The experienced Ferreira was in charge of Venda Football Academy last season, leading them to a fifth-place finish in their maiden professional season, but was replaced by Michael Loftman this week.
However, Tshakhuma, who finished 13th, have acted swiftly, bringing in Ferreira.
iDiski Times reached out to a source at the club, who said Nelukau is still with the club but did confirm that Ferreira would be coming in to lead the technical team, and in fact, it was Nelukau who suggested Ferreira to the chairman.

“What I know is Lucky is the one who gave him Johnny Ferreira’s number, to call him,” the source told iDiski Times.
“When he called him, they went there, Nelukau was there with him, they had a meeting last week. It was on Friday, I think.
“So ja, they concluded that Ferreira is going to be head coach, and Nelukau would be the senior coach, the other one will be the junior coach.”
Tshakhuma are expected to make an announcement at the end of the week.
