AmaZulu coach Brandon Truter has explained why the Richards Bay clash on Wednesday evening in the DStv Premiership will be a tough one.
He pinpointed two reasons that make the match to be difficult, but he is aiming to overcome the difficulties and get maximum points.
Firstly, itβs the KZN Derby bragging rights are at stake. No team wants to lose a local derby.
Secondly, AmaZulu is short of players due to injuries and suspensions.
Thirdly, they got some familiar faces they once worked with at the club.
Truter however, insists they are going all out for three points.
KZN DERBY
βItβs a massive game for us, itβs a derby as well. We want to win it. Weβll make a plan, thatβs what we aiming to do. Itβs not going to be an easy game against Richards Bay,β Truter told the media.
FAMILIAR FACES
βThey have [Luvuyo] Memela and some technical staff from AmaZulu thatβs coming on Wednesday, so itβs not going to be an easy game.
SUSPENSIONS AND INJURIES
βItβs going to be a, hectic season for us, eigtht games, three weeks. We lost [Veluyeke] Zulu and [Gabadinho] Mhango.
βWe got a good enough coach, we will manage the process and see whatβs available. Its too early to tell because of muscle stiffness and fatigue weβll see on Tuesday who is available for that game,β he added.
Both teams will be aiming to get back to winning ways. Usuthu lost 1-0 in the last minute to Mamelodi Sundowns last time out. On the other hand, Richards bt were held nil all draw by TS Galaxy.
Kickoff at Moses Mabhida Stadium is at 5pm.
