Orlando Pirates recently confirmed the signings of Mthetheleli Mthiyane, Sbangani Zulu, Bohlale Ngwato and Ghampani Lungu, giving the technical team fresh options across the pitch.

The club announced the arrivals on its official website after weeks of speculation linking the quartet with moves to Mayfair.

NEW ORLANDO PIRATES SIGNINGS TRANSFORM THE LINE-UP

If the Buccaneers field their strongest available side, the starting XI could feature Sipho Chaine in goal behind a back four of Kamohelo Sebelebele, Sbangani Zulu, Lebone Seema and Deon Hotto.

In midfield, new recruit Mthetheleli Mthiyane could partner Thalente Mbatha, while Relebohile Mofokeng operates in the attacking midfield role.

Further forward, Oswin Appollis is tipped to start on the left wing, with Bohlale Ngwato occupying the opposite flank and Ghampani Lungu leading the line.

The inclusion of four new faces would represent a major refresh for the Buccaneers as they prepare for another campaign challenging on multiple fronts. Including the CAF Champions League.

Full starting line up with the new signings:

Goalkeeper: Sipho Chaine, Right back: Kamohelo Sebelebele, Central defender: Sbangani Zulu, Central defender: Lebone Seema, Left back: Deon Hotto, Central midfielder: Mthethelelli Mthiyane, Central midfielder: Thalente Mbatha, Attacking midfielder: Relebohile Mofokeng, Left winger: Oswin Appollis, Right winger: Bohlale Ngwato, Striker: Ghampani Lungu.

MORE TRANSFERS COULD FOLLOW

Orlando Pirates’ transfer business may not be over yet.

Reports suggest the Soweto giants have already secured two additional signings, although official confirmation is still pending. The names include Siyanda Ndlovu from Golden Arrows, and Neo Rapoo from Siwelele FC.

Should those deals be announced, the club’s squad depth would receive another significant boost ahead of the new season.

With quality additions across defence, midfield and attack, Orlando Pirates appear determined to build a team capable of defending the Betway Premiership title.
