South African referee Abongile Tom and experienced assistant referee Zakhele Siwela continue to make their mark on the continent.

The two have been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate in two international matches this coming month.

Tom, who recently officiated Soweto Derby between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, has once again been trusted on the continental stage after he recently returned from CHAN 2022 in Algeria.

Veteran Siwela, who was part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar alongside the now-retired Victor Gomes, has also been in and out of the country serving the beautiful game.

Tom and Siwela are set to travel to Egypt early next week for the critical Group C CAF Confederations Cup fixture between Future FC of Egypt and Moroccan side ASFAR Club on 8 March 2023.

They will then return to domestic football before jetting out again for the 2023 AFCON qualifier between Congo DR and Mauritania on 24 March 2023.

For this match they will team up with another South African Alfred Chavani who will be the fourth official in that encounter.
