Tino Kadewere’s promise to Mallorca

Zimbabwe international Tino Kadewere is confident his season-long loan move to Spain club RCD Mallorca will help him turn the corner in his career and has promised to rise above the waters during his stay at the club.

Kadewere is excited ahead of the new challenge as he becomes the first Zimbabwean to play in the highly rated Spanish La Liga.

Prior to this move, the 26-year-old had been left frustrated after being frozen out by coach Peter Bosz at his parent club, Lyon.

And the return of Alexander Lacazette to Lyon this season all but dealt his hopes of bouncing back with a massive blow and he further fell down the perking order.

New beginnings

However he expects to make the most out of the time at RCD Mallorca to get his mojo back.

“I believe this will change the trajectory for me. I’m happy and hoping to start again. This is a top league and my hope is to rise and be counted,” Tino Kadewere said.

“Of course, the recent might not have shaped up the way I wanted but this is a new opportunity to start afresh at a new team.

“God willing all will be well. This is a good team. I have watched their games and I expect strong competition. Like always, I will do my best.”

At the moment, RCD Mallorca sits on ninth position on the La Liga log standings with four points out of a possible nine.

While Tino Kadewere’s case has been wrapped up, it remains unclear for his compatriots Marvelous Nakamba, Macauley Bonne and Admiral Muskwe who have been linked with moves away from their current clubs before the transfer window closes.

Kadewere will be hoping for better foturnes in La Liga

Nakamba was transfer listed by Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa but no transfer deal has materialized.

On the otherhand, want-away Bonne remains stuck at Queens Park Rangers despite revealing his desire to leave the club. Bonne publicly announced plans to rejoin his hometown team Ipswich.

He was part of the QPR matchday squad that beat Watford over the weekend.

For Muskwe, a loan move to England’s League One was been considered, though with Ipswich also emerging as a potential destination.
