This R22.5 million amusement park ‘resort’ is up for auction in South Africa

A marina and amusement park in Deneysville, Free State is going on auction later this month.

According to Rawson, the property, situated on the banks of the Vaal dam, stretches nine hectares and offers self-catering accommodation, including the main house, five luxury self-catering units, a penthouse, and large camping sites. Three self-catering units are also in the works.

A sports bar and restaurant are also found on the property. The resort also owns four hectares of land is also on the water’s edge.

Rawson Auctions has given the property a R22.5 million reserve price – the minimum amount that the seller will accept as a winning bid. This is not necessarily the property’s market value nor the amount that the property will be sold for on the day of auction.

The auction will take place on Wednesday, 24 January 2024 and is expected to receive a minimum opening bid of R20 million.
