“This is embarrassing and sad” Dr Malinga’s latest Tiktok video has fans worried about his mental health

Dr Malinga shared a TikTok video that left Mzansi feeling puzzled. He was singing and dancing to a nursery rhyme. As we all know, when kids are growing up, they are taught the head, shoulders, knees and toes song to aid their development. After the kids master the song, they memorize their body parts forever, leaving the music for younger kids.

Dr Malinga is currently 42 years of age. Why he would sing the song in the first place and even dance to it left many people questioning his sanity? Who will be the target market if this is an upcoming song for him? Will it be adults who dance to the music in the clubs, in their cars and homes, or would it be little children?

When he danced, he did very abstract dance moves no one could understand. He raised his legs to the sky and above his head. He also did many ballerina dancing styles by going on and off stages. Most people in South Africa agreed there hadn’t been an entertainer quite like this man.

With his unique dance moves, he complimented his stage image with a unique style of dressing. Initially, when he entered the entertainment industry, the trend of colour-blocking clothes was famous in the country. It was a huge fashion trend to mismatch colours meaning it was appropriate for a person to wear a green blazer, a pink shirt and blue trousers. From those days, he used the colour-blocking trend throughout his career.

When he joined the music industry, he opted for formal wear. He used to wear suits and shirts and then pair his outfits with formal shoes in expensive Italian brands. Later in his career, he decided to crop his suits. His jacket would have half sleeves or no sleeves at all, and his pants were shortened. Not only that but his pants were designed to be high-waisted pants that either reached his waist or just under his chest.

In the video in question, the singer wore green t-shirts with his record label logo, Lingas Entertainment. He was wearing a green t-shirt with a pair of blue shorts that reached his chest. On his feet, he was wearing a pair of black formal shoes. No matter which year it is, his style doesn’t seem to evolve at all.

In the history of South African entertainment, we can never forget the time the singer had a beef with the rapper Nasty C. Nasty C called out Dr Malinga for having a rather childish sense of style. He asked the entertainer what kind of self-respecting man could go out in public dressed in his fashion and asked what his children thought of his outfits.

Currently, people are joining in on the Dr Malinga challenge on Tiktok, and they are making duet videos with his original video. It seems as if there is a new single looming for the singer; although many people think it is too much and too childish, some seem excited for the release.

Tweeps reacted, and the Twitter streets and people are divided right now. His fans say they can’t wait for the release as he’s bringing something unique in his original genre, not amapiano. Some tweeps are saying his time is up, and he should chill and retire as everything he seems to be doing these days seems washed up.
