The game is on! Njinji’s cleansing ceremony means war in KwaMashu

Tonight Njinji leaves the darkness of her husband’s death in the river. The cleansing ceremony is to release her from the one year mourning period after the death of her husband.

In the African tradition, after a wife loses her husband to death, the husband’s family gives her black clothes to wear for a year to signify her loss. Inzila is one of the most respected traditions in African culture. The husband’s family cleanses the widow, and everyone invited to the ceremony brings a gift of clothing to celebrate.

Now that the cleansing has happened, Njinji has nothing stopping her from raging a storm on the Bhebhe family. Even before she removed her black clothing, she had already proved how much chaos she could cause.

She has been holding Sibonelo for almost two weeks now after shooting him. Nkunzi is still very much searching for his son and only got a lead as to where he could be. In the video, Njinji is taken into a hidden river in the woods, and a traditional healer performs a cleansing on her while shouting out her clan names.

The ceremony is sacred and very private

As we all know, Vika almost lost his life in a fatal shooting between his goons and Nkunzi at Sbu’s now-infamous coming home party.

Now that Njinji has come out of the shadows, it’s payback time. Remember Sbu and Njeza’s miraculous prison release. According to the teasers released, the person who made that happen is coming to collect.

We all know that Nkunzi was as shocked as we were to learn of this little prison situation, just like all of us. This leaves us with only Vika and Njinji. Is it a coincidence that just after Njinji’s cleansing, someone then comes for Sbu and Njeza? Unless Nkunzi has played all of us.

Also, according to the teasers, Njinji’s day is coming this Friday. Maybe the secret will come out as to who freed Njeza and Sbu. In the meantime, feast your eyes on the cleansing ceremony.
