On Thursday, a principal from Msunduzi Secondary School, was fatally shot following an apparent domestic dispute at his school.
KZN police spokesperson Thenjiswa Ngcobo says the 66-year-old man was trying to break up an argument on Thursday morning at the school.
“An employee was at her workplace, which is a school in Pietermaritzburg, when she was visited by a known man who was aggressive.
“An argument ensued between the two and the school principal tried to calm the situation but was shot numerous times.”
“He sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the body and was confirmed dead at the scene. A case of murder was opened at Pietermaritzburg police station for investigation.”
The family of the principal who was shot this morning has confirmed the news.
