SuperSport United have completed the signing of former Amajita striker Patrick Maswanganyi on a one-year deal with an option to extend.
The Stars of Africa academy graduate spent the last three seasons in Portugal with Oliveirense and Académica U23s and is now set for his first season in the DStv Premiership.
“It’s an amazing feeling to join a club with rich history and I know my family is very happy for me,” the 24-year-old said upon his unveiling on Sunday.
“SuperSport United is a very big club and I will be hoping to contribute so we can be successful in the upcoming season.”
Having been capped by South Africa U20, Maswanganyi will be looking to take his career to new heights upon his return to the country as he challenges Bradley Grobler, Thabang Sibanyoni, Thamsanqa Gabuza and Iqraam Rayners for a place in Gavin Hunt’s starting line-up.
