Mamelodi Sundowns eased to a 2-0 win over Chippa United to keep their 100% record at the start of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
The game was low on highlights for large parts of the first half, but it sprung to life in the final 10 minutes of the interval.
First Aubrey Modiba scored the opener after 35 minutes, before a cross by Lucas Ribeiro got deflected into his own goal by Justivce Chabalala in the 39th minute.
Ribeiro almost made it three before the break but his near inch-perfect free-kick only hit the inside of the post in the 43rd minute.
Ronaldo Maarman had a chance to pull one back just before the break after appearing free before Ronwen Williams, but the Sundowns keeper pulled off a great stop.
Williams was again at his best in injury-time, pushing a header by Chabalala onto the crossbar.
Maarman had the best chance of the second half, taking on a shot on the volley and it just flew over the bar, striving the net in the 59th minute.
Grant Kekana had a chance following a corner to make it 3-0, but his shot got deflected just wide.
The win sees Sundowns extend their lead at the top of the DStv Premiership, having collected 12 points from four games.
