Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies came back from the international break with guns blazing and moved back to the top of the Hollywoodbets Super League log with 22 points, following their 3-1 win over City Lads in Gqeberha.
Lelona Daweti was on target as was Boitumelo Rabale who came off the bench to score twice for the defending champions in the ninth round of league action.
In the Mother City University of Western Cape lost 2-1 to TS Galaxy Queens, a result that saw them drop to second spot on the table with 21 points though they still have a game in hand.
The newcomers from Mpumalanga are in fifth position tied on 18 points, with Richmond United who won 2-0 over bottom-placed Ma-Indies Ladies in fourth place, and the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in third position.
