Summer Walker explains why her SA concert was cut short

American R&B star Summer Walker has apologised to South Africans following her short performance over the weekend.

Fans who attended the event were left disappointed after what was expected to be a full concert turned into just a 30-minute set.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Summer expressed her love for her South African fans and explained that the shortened performance was beyond her control.

“South Africa, I love you guys so much. You were the best show. I wanted to do the full hour, but the venue and SA police didn’t allow me to — it wasn’t my fault. I love you guys, I’ll be back soon,” she wrote.

Her message has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many fans appreciating her honesty and others still expressing disappointment over the experience.
