One of South Africa’s most dazzling rugby talents, Cheslin Kolbe, turns 32 today, and tributes are pouring in for the Springbok speedster.

Widely regarded as one of the most electrifying wingers in the world, Kolbe’s career continues to shine brightly both on and off the field.

Currently playing for Tokyo Sungoliath in Japan, Kolbe remains a fan favourite for his unforgettable performances in the green and gold.

His incredible try in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final against England remains one of the most iconic moments in Springbok history, sealing South Africa’s emphatic 32–12 victory and their third world title.

Among those celebrating him is long-time teammate and close friend, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi.

The two share a deep bond that has grown through years of triumphs together, including back-to-back Rugby World Cup victories.

Kolisi took to Instagram to share his admiration for Kolbe, reflecting on their shared journey as teammates and brothers in sport.

Kolbe’s impact extends beyond his 21 tries in 46 Test appearances, an impressive 45% strike rate. It’s his relentless defensive effort, agility, and composure under pressure that have earned him a place among rugby’s elite. Many fans and pundits even consider him one of the finest players ever to wear the Springbok jersey.
