Doja Cat trolls estranged dad for missing her SA show

Rapper Doja Cat is in the country for a show in Pretoria tonight, and she thought it would be a great opportunity to connect with her father, actor Dumisani Dlamini.

However, her efforts were thwarted by Dlamini’s refusal because he says she doesn’t text or call him enough.

The rapper took to TikTok to tell her fans that, in reaction to her 62-year-old father’s refusal of her invite to see her perform, she sent him a link to a gay porn website.

Dlamini is famous for his role as Crocodile in Sarafina, starring alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Leleti Khumalo.

“I was messaging my father, because he’s here in Africa, and he said he couldn’t make it to my show because I don’t message him enough, and I didn’t call him on WhatsApp,” says a tired Doja Cat, who is recording from her bed.

“So I sent him gay porn, and said if you go to this link, you can get a ticket… and he said ‘I will send this to my management, my management will handle all of this. At the moment I’m just very busy doing costume and rehearsal’,” continued the rapper, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini.

“He’s at work, and he keeps on messaging me, and he says, ‘I’m just very busy right now, I can’t get to the phone…’, and then keeps messaging that to me,” she continues.

“And then I sent him the website again because he said, ‘What is the website?’”

Beaming with pride, Doja Cat mimics her father’s reaction upon opening the link.

“He says, ‘Darling, what is this? What I’m seeing is gay porn… I don’t know if it’s a scam,” she giggles.

“I don’t know what to do with this, I can’t get the ticket,” she says before breaking out in a diabolical laugh.

You can catch the show at Pretoria’s SunBet Arena on Friday night.
