‘AVOIDING R2400 BILL’
The man Letlhogonolo Regomoditswe shared his R200 story on his Facebook account with his followers and shared how he got out of paying his R2400 bill at the restaurant.
“I had only R200 in my pocket and was hungry, so I went to the most expensive restaurant and ordered a meal fit for a king. After indulging and feeling satisfied, I asked for the bill which came to R2450 ( money I didn’t have) so I told the waiter that I didn’t have that kind of money, hence he called the manager who in turn called the cops and I was arrested. So I gave the cops the R200 and they let me go Welcome to the new South Africa.”
Regomoditswe’s friends/followers took to his comment section to applaud him for ‘settling the bill’ and avoiding jail time.
A follower @Jah Judar responded: “Ah my man that one is an escape plan.”

MAN GETS DRAGGED FOR TIPPING WAITER R15
South Africans previously dragged a tweep@ziphorator after his bill showed he paid R555 for his favourite meal and tipped the waiter only R15.
Tweeps were also bothered by the man when he tried to defend himself by adding that tipping isn’t mandatory in South Africa and that it’s his money.
Briefly News contacted the man in the hot seat to see why he felt R15 was an adequate tip.
He was first asked if he had been a waiter himself, and he revealed that he had and that even when he was earning a mere R50 an hour, he didn’t worry about what people tipped as he knew it was their money and had no control over it.
“Back in 2011, I earned R50 per day at Mac Banana restaurant. I didn’t care if I got tips or not. It was their money, anyway.”
