New Cameroon coach Rigobert Song has announced his first ever squad of the Indomitable Lions ahead of their FIFA World Cup qualification playoff against Algeria.
The two-time African Cup of Nations winner replaced Antonio Conceicao as Cameroon coach after the hosts had finished in third place at the recent AFCON.
He is assisted by former Marumo Gallants coach Sebastien Migne as well as local assistant Augustine Simo.
The new coaching team have a mammoth task ahead of themselves, facing 2019 AFCON champions Algeria in the World Cup playoffs later this month.
The bulk of Song’s squad were part of the team that finished third at the AFCON on home soil, with 16-year-old Patient Wassou of Coton Sport being the only player Cameroon-based player.
In addition, Swansea midfielder Olivier Ntcham, who represented France at U21 level, also made the selection and could make his debut.
