Somizi and Khanyi Mbau slammed for their parenting skills

Social Media users slammed both media personality Somizi Mhlongo and actress Khanyi Mbau’s parenting skills following the Idols SA judge’s daughter’s surname saga.

Somizi set tongues wagging on Twitter when his “baby mama” actress Palesa Madisakwane revealed that he did not pay damages for their daughter Bahumi. Bahumi has been on a quest to change her surname on the fifth season of Living the Dream with Somizi which had many Tweeps feeling like the media personality should be doing more for his child.

Khanyi Mbau on the other hand revealed that her 15-year-old daughter Khanukani, who she shares with Mandla Mthembu, lives alone. The actress also set tongues wagging, including television personality Andile Ncube when she said that her daughter can lose her virginity “tomorrow.”

“Virginity can be lost or it can be stolen. So lost is when you are ready and its a boy you think you are going to marry, you give it away. You love this guy, you are 15, you think you are going to marry him… you give it away,” said Khanyi.

“I said there’s no age for it. You can give away your virginity tomorrow night. It’s worse because you sleep in your own apartment,” she went on to say.

This comes after the media personality booked Khanyi a flight to Cape Town so she doesn’t have to be home on New Year’s Eve but she may have not pitched.

It all started when a Tweep called out Somizi for prioritising his friends over his child.

Then another Tweep commented that Somizi reminds him of Khanyi because they are “negligent” parents who put their careers before their kids.
