The representative of new Kaizer Chiefs signing Dillan Solomons says there was no contact with Royal AM amid the club’s CEO Sinky Mnisi’s latest suggestions.

Mnisi spoke to Andile Ncube on Sports Night Amplified on Tuesday, where during the interview, he claimed that aa ‘story would unfold’ about Solomons’ deal with Chiefs.

The wing-back who was unveiled on Monday evening on a four-year contract and Grant Nieuwenhuys of GN Sports told iDiski Times that there’s nothing to be concerned about regarding the Amakhosi transfer.

“There’s nothing to take serious from our side, how can [you suggest] you signed the player when we’ve represented Dillan for seven years, we never got a call from them, this must have been a thing from club to club but we never sat with Royal AM,” he said on Tuesday evening.

“Chiefs did the right thing, followed the right protocol, I mean we got more calls from [Orlando] Pirates and never a call from Royal AM. So how can you sign a player you never spoke to? It’s not fair and we will protect Dillan because you disrupting his focus now.

“It’s the biggest move of his career thus far and now this is not fair, they need to fight the battles with whoever they dealt with but they definitely didn’t deal with GN Sports Agency who represents the boy. It’s not fair at all. I can confirm 200% they never contacted us, I don’t know who they spoke to at Swallows or whoever, but definitely not to us.”

Nieuwenhuys went on to state nobody associated to the agency has ever been in contact with Mnisi or club officials from the KZN-based outfit during the race to land his signature.

“I never got a call from Sinky [Mnisi] or any representative of Royal AM in the last month or two – the only people who called me were Kaizer Chiefs and people of Orlando Pirates and the other clubs I don’t need to mention now,” he added.

“I just don’t think it’s fair to the boy because people are sending him things and he’s reading things that are not even true – it’s a bit irresponsible [to say], to be honest with you.”
