Sindisiwe Manqele opens up about the night she killed Flabba

Sindisiwe Manqele opened up about the night she killed the late rapper Nkululeko Habedi better known as Flabba, to death in a Podcast and Chill interview. On the night, Sindisiwe said she and the late rapper went out for a fun night and consumed a lot of alcohol. As they were out drinking, Sindisiwe said Flabba got jealous. When the couple arrived home, they had a drunken fight that wasn’t meant to go any further. The conflict intensified, however, and it escalated even further. Sindisiwe says they got violent with one another on the night she killed Flabba, and she had to defend herself from Flabba with a knife.

She said she stabbed him to death and realized the extent of the damage she had caused.
Her trial sparked significant controversy in the country and created a conversation about men being domestic abuse victims. In her defence, she maintained she was only defending herself from Flabba that night.

Parole conditions

Sindisiwe also opened up about her parole. She served seven years of her 12-year sentence. However, a parole officer will monitor her until the 23rd of May, 2028. Sindisiwe’s parole conditions allow her to be outside her home from the morning to 6 p.m. Because she works and on Sunday it’s from morning to 2 p.m. Some of her other restrictions are not going to nightclubs, not drinking, and also not doing anything illegal. A parole visitor visits her home to check if she is there randomly.

Upcoming documentary

Sindisiwe is creating a documentary showing what happened on the night she killed Flabba and her prison experiences. Since she got on parole, many people feel Sindisiwe didn’t serve enough time in jail. Her documentary will show prison is a place of rehabilitation, and she managed to complete a qualification behind bars. Some of the other elements she covered during the interview are personal, for instance, dating as an ex-convict.

Mzansi has mixed reactions to her arrest. Some tweeps are not happy she is out of prison; after all, she killed a man many people looked up to. Fans of the late rapper are unhappy with Sindisiwe getting celebrity treatment with platforms like media interviews and documentary productions. Some tweeps noted she seemed calm and joking as a person with no remorse. However, a few people are happy she is out and supporting her.
