With speculation rife that he could return to the South African Premier Soccer League, Pitso Mosimane has responded to Kaizer Chiefs fans amidst the links with the Soweto giants.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Mosimane says he has not received any communication or contact from Chiefs as he responded via a local radio station.
Currently contracted to Al Ahli Saudi in Saudi Arabia, Mosimane’s future is a subject of speculation in local media circles, and he might succeed Arthur Zwane at Chiefs.

After guiding the Saudi outfit to the elite division, media reports suggest Mosimane has not been paid his salary and that the club’s hierarchy is considering parting ways with him.
PITSO MOSIMANE RESPONDS TO KAIZER CHIEFS LINKS
Speaking to Power FM, ‘Jingles’ as Mosimane is referred to by football Fans in Mzansi, he said Chiefs fans must calm down because the Naturena-based side is yet to open talks.
Despite facing an uncertain future in the Middle East, Mosimane has claimed that he has a one-year clause in his contract and it was automatically activated when he gained promotion.

“No [Chiefs haven’t said anything],” ‘Jingles’ told Skepe Matsebane on POWERSportExtra.
“Ask my agent, my agent has never told me anything about Kaizer Chiefs. They told me about a few things at this point in time.
“I don’t know (about Kaizer Chiefs), we will have to see. We have to think first.”
MOSIMANE COY ON RETURN TO SOUTH AFRICA
Having won many trophies with Sundowns including the lucrative CAF Champions League and the Super Cup, Mosimane seems open to a move back home.

The Kagiso-born manager, Mosimane could not rule out a move back to the DStv Premiership, preferring to say anything is possible in football.
However, he said coaching in the African continent is not as exciting as plying his trade abroad.
“Anything is possible, you can’t be surprised, I like projects,” he added.

“If there is a project, if someone has a vision of he wants it and I have my way to say ‘it can go like this, it can go step one, step two, step three…
“You also have to know it’s not easy to come back to Africa. Because sometimes you want to win trophies, you want to win the Champions League with another team, you want to win trophies in North Africa.
“I always wanted to be in North Africa, I always wanted to be in Morocco… Then I had an opportunity to come to Asia. So Africa is not really at the moment an exciting project, because if I come what do I have to win? But it depends on what the vision is…”
