Sadio Mane set for Liverpool exit | African News

Sadio Mane is expected to leave Liverpool this summer, ending a six-year spell at Anfield.

The Senegal international has just one year left to run on his contract, so Liverpool will have to cash in this summer or risk losing the forward for free next year.

Bayern Munich are among Mane’s suitors, but he is yet to decide on his next club as his focus has been on the Champions League final.

At this stage, there has been no official bid from Bayern, and Liverpool would demand significantly more than the €30 million fee that has been reported in Germany.

Mane, who joined Liverpool from Southampton for £34 million in June 2016, could not stop his side from falling to a 1-0 defeat in Paris on Saturday night.

The attacker played 90 minutes in a tight final separated by Vinicius Junior’s strike in the 59th minute.

He has lifted six trophies during his highly successful spell at Liverpool.

Mane has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

Team-mate Mo Salah is also out of contract next year, but he has already said he will not leave the club this summer.
