The Hip Hop fraternity once again mourns the loss of a talented rapper, Itumeleng George Tladi, AKA, Tumi Tladi. News of his untimely passing was confirmed by his family in a statement.
The 30-year-old Basadi rapper is said to have passed away in Johannesburg during the early hours of Sunday morning, 10 July.

“The family of South Africa hip-hop artist Itumeleng George Tladi today confirmed with profound sadness and loss, his untimely passing.
“Son, brother and uncle, Tumi Tladi (30) sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning (10 July 2022) in Johannesburg,” reads part of the statement.
Tumi is survived by his parents, five siblings as well as his nieces and nephews. The family then asked for privacy and space to mourn as well as arrange the funeral details which will be announced in due course.
The young rapper had a few achievements under his belt including his feature on the MTV Base’s SA’s Hottest MC’s 2021 New Wave list. Some of his work include the hit song Basadi, You Aint Shh ft. Alfa Kat Laygo and Dumelang, to name a few.
Not only was he a rapper, but he was also a choreographer who worked with Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s kids Willow and Jaden Smith in the year 2012. He also had stage performances with Joan Armatrading, he performed at Idols SA 2011 and at the MK Awards as well as the Los Angeles Carnival.
His last work was with Nadia Nakai on a single called Presidential featuring Must Be Dubz. They shot the music video abut 2 weeks ago.
