This was the first time that Sundowns had failed to win a league match in 16 games after previously recording 15 consecutive wins.

Nonetheless, Stellies deserves all the credit for matching Sundowns pound for pound throughout the 90 minutes despite being the underdogs.

What this esult means is that Sundowns can now finish the season on 80 points provided they win their remaining eight league games.
