South African coach Morena Ramoreboli has renewed his contract with Botswana club Jwaneng Galaxy for yet another season.
Ramoreboli made headlines last year as the caretaker coach of Bafana Bafana, when he led them to the 2021 COSAFA Cup title, with Helman Mkhalele sidelined due to Covid.
Ramoreboli then took up the head coach of the Botswanan Premier League club, who went on to reach the CAF Champions League group stage for the first time in their history under his supervision.
Ramoreboli first came to the fore as coach of Maluti FET College. He famously led them to victory over Orlando Pirates in the 2012-13 Nedbank Cup, before getting them promoted to the professional leagues.
“It’s good to be back,” Ramoreboli said in a statement released by his management.
“Football becomes a success when you work with people who have a vision and understand that building a team is not a one-night thing, it takes time, energy, and a lot of effort to build a solid team.”
