The battle for second position in the Hollywoodbets Super League is intensifying as the season draws to a close.
On the Wednesday University of Western Cape (UWC) showed no mercy over Richmond United as they thrashed the latter, 4-0 in the Mother City.
With the result UWC are third on the log with 53 points from 25 matches, that’s two points adrift of Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in the second spot, but TUT has played a game more.
JVW Girls also thrashed Coal City Wizards 4-0 in Witbank to sit right behind UWC, on the table with 51 points in 25 outings. The Wizards are 13th on the log with 22 points in 26 games.
Elsewhere City Lads were 1-0 winners in the battle of the rookies against Vasco Da Gama in Gqeberha. The Lads are now 12th on the log with 22 points from 28 encounters, while Vasco are third from the bottom with 16 points from 25 matches, that’s six points from the relegation zone.
