Swallows FC have announced the signing of Bongani Sam on Deadline Day.
The Dube Birds were finally allowed to sign and register new players this season after their FIFA ban was lifted last week.
Ernst Middendorp, who was ready to complete the 2022/23 campaign without new signings, will be happy to welcome new players to his squad to help the team fight relegation.
They have now announced the addition of Buccaneers left-back Sam, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Maritzburg but seemingly wasn’t in the plans of Fadlu Davids.
“The Dube Birds would love to Welcome Bongani Sam to the Nest… The Dube Birds would love to thank Orlando Pirates for the smooth negotiations,” the club said via a statement.
Swallows are currently sitting in 15th place on the DStv Premiership log after collecting just 18 points from 18 games this season so far.
They continue their quest for survival against Richards Bay on Friday.
