Official: Swallows Announce First 2022/23 Signing

Swallows FC have finally announced their first signing for the 2022/23 campaign, snapping up Keegan Allan from AmaTuks.




Allan, 21, enjoyed a standout first season in professional football with Tuks as he was part of the side that went to the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup, with his fine exploits earning him the Nedbank Cup Most Promising Player of the Season award, and runners-up of the GladAfrica Championship.

Despite the heartbreak of losing the PSL promotion play-offs on the final day against Swallows, the towering defender was able to leave the club on a free transfer due to a non-promotion release clause in his contract he signed after rejecting a five-year deal with Mamelodi Sundowns.



He was linked to several clubs such as SuperSport United, Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United, while reports in Italy stated that Hellas Verona and Spezia are among the suitors in the Italian top-flight vying for his services.



However, Swallows have now confirmed the signing of the 21-year-old, who put pen to paper on a  two-year deal with an option to extend it.
