SuperSport United have confirmed the club is not for sale during a press conference on Thursday.
Reports linked Zimbabwean billionaire Strive Masiyiwa with a take over of the club but chairman Khulu Sibiya strongly denied those rumours, saying no one has ever even approached the club about a potential sale.

“First I have to start with doing a correction that has been going around and that is the sale of SuperSport. To me and everybody at the club this came as a big surprise to us,” Sibiya said during a press conference on Thursday.
“Nobody has ever approached me about the sale, this is a big surprise.
“The club is definitely not for sale. The club is up and running. I don’t know about the kind of journalism that we have today. As a former journalist myself I would never write a story of this kind of nature.”
Matsatsantsa also announced that Gavin Hunt will return as new coach, replacing Kaitano Tembo permanently.
Hunt previously won three Premier Soccer League titles with SuperSport between 2008 and 2010, while also lifting the Nedbank Cup in 2011/12.
SSU were founded in 1994 after M-Net bought the status of Pretoria City and got approval from the National Soccer League to rename the club to SSU.
