Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that they have agreed to mutually terminate Kenyan international Anthony Agay’s contract.

Agay made nine league appearances this past season, and overall featured in 47 games in all competitions for Chiefs in the two and a half seasons he spent at the club.

The club confirmed his release earlier on Saturday.

“After initially putting him on the transfer list, Kaizer Chiefs and Anthony Akumu Agay have mutually agreed to an early termination of his contract. The contract was set to expire in June 2023,” the club said on their website.

“The Kenyan-born midfielder joined Chiefs in January 2020 from Zesco United in Zambia and netted twice in his 47 appearances in all competitions for Amakhosi. We wish ‘Teddy’ all the best in his future.”
