Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi has pointed to Cape Town City’s advantage ahead of their midweek DStv Premiership fixture.
The Buccaneers return to domestic football after beating Royal Leopards 6-2 in the CAF Confederations Cup.
Meanwhile, City had a free weekend, with Ncikazi insisting they have the advantage of a fully rested squad.
“We must switch quickly into the PSL, tough schedule and we must know that we are playing opponents who are well-rested,” he said.
“We just played on Sunday, recovery today, there is nothing that you can do today.
“You have to be prepared for a top team like Cape Town City, we have to try and play our best game again and see how far we can go.
“We have to be sensible in how we manage the game versus a team that is fresh. But we have to try to get the three times. I think currently what is important to us is getting the three points.”
City sit five points behind Pirates but have two games in hand on their opponents. The match is scheduled for 17:30 at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.
